Mariinsky BAM Tickets
Going Fast

Viktoria-Tereshkina-Vladimir-Shklyarov-La-Bayadere-5-29-14a

Viktoria Tereshkina and Vladimir Shklyarov, ABT Guest Artists, La Bayadere, May 29, 2014

With the start of the New Year a few days ago, it’s hard to believe that the Mariinsky Ballet will be at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in less than two weeks. Tickets are going fast, so if you want to avoid my fate of standing in the BAM cancelled ticket line at a sold out ABT Nutcracker last December (the equivalent of the standby line at the airport) get your tickets now. Bolshoi and Mikhailosky New York tours were very well attended in July and November last year, respectively, with many Russian-speaking audience members. I expect that most of the Mariinsky performances will sell out, so get your tickets now.

The Thursday, January 15 Swan Lake performance with Viktoria Tereshkina/Vladimir Shklyaro has only a few seats left in the $35 budget balcony section (all in the rear); one ticket remains in the mezzanine; and 185 tickets in the orchestra where many of the tickets are premium priced at $350. In the orchestra, there are some partial view side seats for $88, and side orchestra for $110 and $150. Friday tickets for Ulyana Lopatkina/Yevgeny Ivanchenko are not showing up on the BAM website, so it may be sold out. There is more availability in the mezzanine and orchestra sections for Wednesday January 21 with Yekaterina Kondaurova/Timur Askerov, and Thursday, January 22 with Oxana Skorik/Xander Parish. Viktoria and Vladimar are a big draw as there are only a few side orchestra seats for their Friday January 23 performance.

There are very limited orchestra seats available for Ratmansky’s Cinderella on Saturday, January 17 with Diana Vishneva/Konstantin Zverev/Yekaterina Kondaurova, with plenty of $30 rear balcony seats available for the Sunday 3 pm performance with Anastasia Matvienko/Alexander Sergeyev/Daria Pavlenko. Mariinsky announced another Cinderella performance on Tuesday, January 20 with casting to be confirmed, and plenty of seats are available.

There are a few rear balcony and side orchestra seats available for the mixed rep Chopin: Dances for Piano on Saturday, January 24 with many more tickets available for the Sunday, January 25 3 pm performance.
