Bad news as ABT reports that Polina Semionova will not dance this Met season, withdrawing from seven performances. She will be replaced by Hee Seo in five performances; I hope Hee is getting overtime pay as she is scheduled to perform the lead in 10 full length performances, including Romeo and Juliet on back-to-back nights. As I noted in my previous post, Stella Abrera will replace Polina in Giselle on May 23 with Mariinsky’s Vladimir Shklyarov.
In other casting news, Natalia Osipova will not dance in Ratmansky’s The Sleeping Beauty. For some reason, Diana Vishneva is not listed in tonight’s 75th Anniversary Gala. I really hope she is not injured and will perform in the May 26 Giselle with Marcelo Gomes.
