ABT announced its Fall schedule from October 21-November at Koch Theatre Linclon Center, according to BroadwayWorld.com. Highlights include the premier of a new work by Mark Morris, company premiers of Frederick Ashton’s Monotones I and II, Balanchine’s Valse-Fantaisie and AfterEffect by Principal Dancer Marcelo Gomes. Morris’ new work for 12 dancers features costumes by Isaac Mizrahi and lighting by Michael Chybowski. Ashton’s Monotones I and II features music by Erik Satie and costumes by Ashton. It is a one-act ballet in two parts which premiered in 1965. The company will revive Twyla Tharp’s The Brahms-Haydn Variations, which premiered in 2000. ABT will also perform Kurt Jooss’ The Green Table, Michel Fokine’s Le Spectre de la Rose, Paul Taylor’s Company B and Alexei Ratmansky’s Piano Concerto #1.
All of ABT’s Principal Dancers will participate, except for David Hallberg. It is nice to see that newly appointed Principal Dancers Alban Lendorf and Maria Kochetkova will dance.
