One of my favorites, New York City Ballet Principal Dancer Ana Sophia Scheller, has been out of action for the past four months with a foot injury. She provided two recent updates on Twitter and Instagram on her progress. In one post she is in an arabesque with commentary: “A week ago I did this arabesque and 3 seconds later it was so painful on my back. Almost 4 months of not dancing. Let’s see if I get any news this week of what’s next…Hope it is dancing soon.” In another recent post, she is in a doctor’s office awaiting an injection to her foot. She says that she had an anxiety attack and almost fainted during the procedure. Hope the treatments are working and Ana is back on her feet soon.
