Broadway World reports that Denis Matvienko, a guest artist with ABT, will withdraw due to injury from scheduled performances at the Met this Spring. Denis is a principal dancer with the Mariinsky Ballet.

New York audiences will get the opportunity to see Jared Matthews as Albrecht in Giselle on Thursday evening, June 19. Jared danced this role in ABT’s Giselle run in Minneapolis several weeks ago to great reviews.
Guest artist Alban Lendorf, a principal dancer with the Royal Danish Ballet, will replace Matvienko as Basilio in Don Quixote on Wednesday evening, May 14. Kevin Jackson, a principal dancer with Australian Ballet, will make his debut with ABT as an exchange artist, replacing Matvienko as Des Grieux in Manon at the matinee on Wednesday, June 4 and Friday evening, June 6, according to Broadway World.
