New York City Ballet celebrated the final performance of Joaquin De Luz Sunday afternoon with a great send off. Joaquin had a busy day, performing in three works, Theme and Variations with Tiler Peck, A Suite of Dances, and Todo Buenos Aires. After the final work, Joaquin had his final curtain call, as dancers from NYCB and his American Ballet Theatre days presented him with flowers, hugs, and kisses with great emotion. Check out photos of the curtain calls on my photography website notmydayjobphotography, com. Highlights included an appearance from a very pregnant Megan Fairchild and former ABT Soloist Sascha Radetsky.
Check Balletfocus.com tomorrow with more thoughts on Joaquin’s great career and his final NYCB performance.
