Check out my latest YouTube videos on the scissor jeté. One of my favorite steps for men is a scissor jeté and its variant with a full turn. When done well these are spectacular, a whirlwind of complicated movement, all done in about a second. The step, particularly with a full turn makes ballet fans gasp in appreciation and say, “WOW!!! That was great! What is it? This video breaks down these complicated steps to their basic elements to give ballet fans and dancers an appreciation of the steps. I provide preeminent examples from some of the world’s finest dancers such as Ethan Stiefel, Angel Corella, and Leonid Sarafanov.

Amazing but above all, beautiful!
Really, really enjoyed this, Kent. You taught me so much. And I loved the men you chose to illustrated the step. I’d never seen Farukh Ruzimatov, so this was a great opportunity to understand why he was so beloved.
